Chain guard Lino - Brown/Black

The chain guard Lino, which is tailored to our chain lead ropes, is made of light elastic soft leather with velcro closure.

Lino Chain protection minimizes the risk of pinching, wounds and chafing on the horse in connection with using a chain.

The chain also becomes more "manageable".

When you lead a horse with the chain under or over the nose, the "pull effect" comes immediately due to the weight of the chain - with the cover on it is easier to place/fix the chain a bit away from the horse and the horse does not have to feel the sharp sensation unless a situation arises. The cover is only about 2 mm and thus the effect of the chain remains.

For a sensitive horse, the effect/feeling of the chain can cause more stress and thus increase the risk of a situation that the chain is meant to avoid, instead occurring.

This is not approved for competition YET, but it is something we work towards when the need exists.

Install the cover like this!

• Lay out the chain guard on a flat surface, positioning the chain so that it is centered on the leather surface.
• Make sure that all the links in the chain are symmetrical with each other and thus take up as little space as possible, and make sure that the cover is straight.
• The cover is a bit elastic, pull it a bit while attaching it bit by bit so it overlaps the velcro edge to edge, seal carefully and press a bit so the velcro attaches properly.
